PROCEDURE:
Coast CCA has negotiated funds for conference travel for unit members to attend two events per semester. Here is the procedure:
1. Download a Conference and Travel Form from the Coast CCA website (www.coastcca.com ), and complete the form.
2. Get a District Conference Authorization Request from your dean., and complete the form.
3. Secure your dean’s signature on both forms.
4. Make copies of both forms for your records.
5. Send the originals of each form to Barbara Price, CCA president, at OCC at least four weeks before the conference to assure that the approvals will be timely and you will be able to go. (If you are not a CCA-CTA/NEA member, you should submit a membership form [below] or online at our website, along with the travel forms.)
6. Dr. Price will check on your unit membership and immediately forward your request to the appropriate VP of instruction. Once approved by the VP, it will be sent to the Board for final approval.
7. Once approved, the Board will send you a letter with a reimbursement claim form.
8. After returning from the conference, fill out the reimbursement claim form attaching receipts within ten days and submit to your dean.
9. Again make copies of everything.
10. Watch for your check in the mail!
11. Upon your return, file a brief report about the conference with Coast CCA through Dr. Price barbara@coastcca.com. It will be placed on our website so that colleagues can benefit from your experience.
If you do not to follow the CCA procedure, you will need to seek alternative funding.
