We have just learned that Tom Chambers, who is our executive board Vice President representing Golden West College. has been awarded the Renley Scholarship, which is quite an honor. For the very first time Part-time teachers have been included in the opportunity to compete for this prestigious award and there were several applicants. Tom’s motive for applying was to garner funds to pursue the opportunity of acquiring methods, materials and strategies for improving delivery, retention and student completion of on-line courses and to share what he learns with all three colleges. He will be attending a conference in January to begin gathering data and materials to fulfill his goals. Congratulations Tom, we look forward to learning from you to assist all our students.
